From the School Counsellor

The school makes available to its students and families the opportunity to receive assistance from our School Counsellor.

Children can often be overwhelmed by what’s happening to them and their families. From time to time, they need our help to stay afloat as they navigate the ups and downs that everyday life can bring. Some of the factors which can impact upon them, include: starting a new school, social interaction, making friends, self-esteem, being anxious about tests, grief and loss, family separation and visitations, crisis situations etc.

The counselling which is provided at TCC is not a long term service for deeper issues.

Should you wish your primary child to spend some time with the Counsellor, please contact your primary child’s class teacher in person, or email or note.

If your child is already or is going to be under the care of a counsellor or psychologist outside the school, please continue using their services.

The School Counsellor follows the School’s Counselling Policy.
